Git是一款注重速度、數據完整性、分布式支持和非線性工作流的分布式版本控制工具。Git最初由Linus Torvalds在2005年為Linux內核開發而設計，如今已經成為被廣泛接受的版本控制系統。

和其他大多數分布式版本控制系統比起來，不像大多數客戶端-服務端的系統，每個Git工作目錄是一個完整的倉庫，帶有完整的歷史記錄和完整的版本跟蹤能力，不需要依賴網絡或者中心服務器。像Linux內核一樣，Git也是在GPLv2許可證下分發的自由軟件。

本篇教程我會演示如何安裝 gitlit 服務器。gitlit的最新穩定版是1.6.2。Gitblit是一款開源、純Java開發的用于管理、瀏覽和提供Git倉庫服務的軟件。它被設計成一款為希望托管中心倉庫的小型工作組服務的工具。

mkdir -p /opt/gitblit; cd /opt/gitblit; wget http://dl.bintray.com/gitblit/releases/gitblit-1.6.2.tar.gz

列出解壓后目錄內容：

root@vps124229 [/opt/gitblit]# ls

默認配置文件在data/gitblit.properties，你可以根據需要自己修改。

啟動gitlit服務：

通過service命令：

root@vps124229 [/opt/gitblit]# cp service-centos.sh /etc/init.d/gitblit
root@vps124229 [/opt/gitblit]# chkconfig --add gitblit
root@vps124229 [/opt/gitblit]# service gitblit  start

手動啟動：

打開瀏覽器，依據你的配置進入http://localhost:8080 或者 https://localhost:8443。輸入默認的管理員授權：admin / admin 并點擊Login 按鈕

添加用戶：

用命令行創建新的倉庫：

從命令行推送已有的倉庫：
