Tarantool 是一個用 Lua 語言編寫的嵌入式 NoSQL 數據庫，可以直接在 Lua 程序中運行。合并了 Node.js 的強大網絡編程和 Redis 數據持久。
Tarantool 1.6.6 發布，此版本是穩定版本，也就是可以在生產環境使用，沒有崩潰，內存泄漏等問題。Tarantool 1.6.6 添加了對 Fedora 22，Ubuntu Vivid 平臺支持；box.info.snapshot_pid 重命名為 box.info.snapshot_in_progress；Network I/O 轉移到一個獨立線程，每個實時性能提升 50%。
