Michael Tremer has announced the release of IPFire 2.13 Core 74, an updated version of the Linux-based, security-hardened distribution for firewalls: "IPFire
2.13 Core Update 74 released. It comes with a bunch of minor updates
and fixes some minor bugs. Update to Squid 3.3.11. The latest
maintenance update of the Squid web proxy package has been applied. The
maximum number of file descriptors has again been increased to 1,048,576
and the issue which made it was impossible for the Squid daemon to set
the desired configuration value has been fixed. The OpenV*N package has
been updated to version 2.3.2. strongSwan, the package responsible for
IPsec V*N connections, has been updated to version 5.1.1. The HTTPS key
and certificate that are used for communitcating with our IPFire web
user interface has been increased to 4,096 bits. This follows the
general advice by various authorities. New installations will
