Parallel-NetCDF 是一個使用 MPI-IO 和一個定制版本的 NetCDF API 來實現高性能 I/O 的開發庫。
Parallel-NetCDF 1.3.0 發布，該版本改進內容：
- Optimizations were made to reduce communication in the library.
- Compatibility with NetCDF 4 was improved.
- Support for CDF-2's special2 characters in names was added along with support for the official CDF-5 file format specification.
- C and Fortran APIs were enhanced.
- Improvements were made to the PnetCDF header and variable alignment.
- A better translation of MPI-IO error classes to netCDF/PnetCDF error codes was provided.
- Documentation was improved, including more test programs and a QuickTutorial.
- Fortran90 support was fixed.
- Other assorted bugs were fixed
