Snowlinux是一套基于Debian最新穩定版本的Linux發行，其特色在于四種桌面環境：GNOME、KDE、LXDE、Xfce。其宗旨是用戶友好性、集成多種有用的調整及精心挑選的應用軟件。該項目還單獨開發一份基于Ubuntu的樣式，其特色是MATE桌面（乃GNOME 2的分支）。

該團隊自豪地宣布Snowlinux3.1 GNOME 2 XFCE4.8＆E17發布。

GNOME 2 XFCE 4.8 E17

Snowlinux 3.1 is a bug fix release for GNOME, XFCE and E17. It solves many bugs and it also brings many features to the users. CTRL_ALT_Backspace restarts the x-server if it has hung up. Click on tap was activated and lots of bugs were solved.

Snowlinux 3.1 Gnome is based upon Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 "Squeeze" Stable. It comes with the long-term-support (LTS) Linux kernel 3.2.0 and Gnome 2. It has installed Firefox, Thunderbird, LibreOffice, Rhythmbox and Shotwell by default.

Snowlinux 3.1 XFCE is based upon Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 "Squeeze" Stable. It comes with the long-term-support (LTS) Linux kernel 3.2.0 and XFCE 4.8. It has installed Firefox, Thunderbird, Abiword, Rhythmbox and Shotwell by default.

Snowlinux 3.1 Gnome & XFCE is based upon Debian GNU/Linux 7.0 "Wheezy" Stable. It comes with the Linux kernel 3.5.0 and E17. It has installed Firefox, Thunderbird, Abiword, MPlayer and Shotwell by default.

Life cycle:

Snowlinux 3.1 "Crystal" is supported until Februar 2014.

Snowlinux 3 "Crystal" XFCE is supported until Februar 2014.

Snowlinux 3 "Crystal" E17 is supported until Februar 2017.

Compatibility with Debian:

Snowlinux 3 "Crystal" is 100 % compatible with Debian's Repository.
