微軟Windows 8利用UEFI進一步限制Linux生存空間

來自 itworld 的文章顯示Windows 8認證品牌機可能不支持啟動Linux。

根據新的規定，Windows 8認證的機器可能將阻止部署Linux。Win 8要求機器用統一可擴展固件接口（UEFI）代替BIOS。EFI正逐漸取代長期使用的BIOS固件，它兼容Windows，支持全局唯一標識分區表 （GUID Partition Table），OS X/Intel和Linux 2.6。

EFI和UEFI 規格對Linux來說沒什么問題，但問題是微軟要求win8認證客戶機支持安全啟動，啟動進程內的所有固件和軟件都需要可信CA簽名，顯然微軟試圖鎖定啟 動進程，阻止安裝無簽名的第三方系統如Linux。
