GoboLinux 015 Beta 2 發布

GoboLinux是模塊化的Linux發行，它以新穎、合理的方式組織應用軟件。傳統的方式是將一個應用軟件涉及的多個文件分散在/usr/bin、/etc、/usr/share/abc之類的目錄里面，而GoboLinux卻為每一個軟件設立其自己的目錄樹，因而將它們雅致地分隔開，并使得用戶可以看明白系統中安裝的所有內容：哪個文件屬于哪個應用軟件變得一目了然。
 
Lucas C. Villa Real has announced the availability of the second beta release of GoboLinux 015, an unusual distribution which attempts to redefine the entire UNIX file system hierarchy by placing applications into their own separate directories: "I am pleased to announce the second beta snapshot of GoboLinux 015 for the i686 architecture. Thanks to your feedback and to numerous hours shaping it, this release is more mature and smooth. The list of high-level changes since the first beta follows: introduction of /System/Index hierarchy; GRUB 2 works and can be installed on a disk or partition; SYSLINUX update fixes the live CD boot on a number of machines; deprecation of GoboLinux BootScripts' network settings in favor of NetworkManager; improved versions of Compile and Scripts tools; various updates to Installer in both text and graphics modes."
