Pyst包含了一組接口和類庫，能夠采用編程的方式在Python中操作Asterisk。這個類庫當前支持AGI，AMI和Asterisk配置文件的解析。此外還支持AGI的調試功能。Asterisk是一個開放源代碼的軟件VoIP PBX系統。
