Xubuntu 13.10 Beta 1 發布，Ubuntu的Linux發行

Xubuntu是一份基于Ubuntu的Linux發行。然而與Ubuntu不同的是，Xubuntu采用輕量級的Xfce桌面環境，并面向低端機器作了優化。該發行盡可能地只包含GTK+應用軟件。

While Ubuntu developers no longer release development milestones, many of the Ubuntu derivatives continue using the traditional development model, with regular alpha and beta releases. Today is the beta 1 release day for many of them, including Xubuntu:

" The Xubuntu team is happy to announce the release of Xubuntu 13.10 'Saucy Salamander' beta 1 today. With this beta, we hope to have all of the most important features ready. We now seek people to actively test and identify bugs so we can squash them before our final release. Some of the highlights of the release include: new version of Xfce Settings with a new dialog to set up your monitors; improved themes with GTK+ 3.8 support and bug fixes; a new tool to change your theme colors; updated version of Gnumeric."
