jEdit：成熟的程序員文本編輯器

jEdit是一個用Java語言開發的文本編輯器，在GPL下發布。它可以在Windows、Linux、Mac OS等多種平臺下運行，并且有很多插件，可以擴充基本功能。它也支持80多種文件類型的文法加亮顯示。支持包括UTF-8在內的多種字符編碼。

jEdit也有很方便的宏定義功能，可以用BeanShell、Jython和JavaScript等腳本語言。
