Tanglu is a new Linux distribution. Based on Debian, Tanglu is optimised for desktop deployment, with up-to-date software, extra drivers and regular releases. Today Matthias Klumpp announced the availability of the second beta build of Tanglu 1.2, code name "Aequorea": " Since yesterday, we have an (installable) beta 2 release of Tanglu. Compared to the previous snapshot, it comes with a huge amount of improvements and bug fixes: the systemd journal is now used for logging exclusively, you can install rsyslog to get the old behaviour back and switch the journal to non-persistent mode; KDE received a new theme for KDM and KSplash; Tanglu does no longer include an MTA by default; we ship with a functional live installer now, you can install Tanglu easily to try it out; GNOME is now working, the Shell and various other GNOME parts were updated to GNOME 3.10; we now ship the 1.14 version of X.Org Server...."
