Tanglu 2.0 發布，基于 Debian 的 Linux
Tanglu是基于Debian的Linux發行，它旨在向普通用戶和發燒友提供最佳的桌面體驗。與Debian GNU/Linux相比，Tanglu計劃提供大量用戶友好的、面向桌面的特性，比如可用的新軟件、對額外固件的缺省包含，以及基于時間的、規律化的發布 周期。
Tanglu 2 (Bartholomea annulata) released!

We are glad to announce the availability of the second release of Tanglu, codename "Bartholomea".
This release contains a large amount of updated packages, and ships with the latest release of KDE 4 and GNOME.
New Installer Options
Tanglu 2 ships with two options to install it: The Debian Installer (d-i) and our own live-installer. We recommend to use the Debian Installer ("Install Tanglu" option on the live-cd boot menu), because a lot of testing went into it and it does a much better job compared to the live-installer, which will be replaced with Tanglu 3.
KDE Flavor
The KDE flavor of Tanglu received bugfix updates for the Plasma workspaces and contains new versions of the KDE applications.
KDM was replaced with SDDM as default display manager.
The Apper package and application manager is now run with AppStream support, making it display applications instead of packages. This is great to discover new applications. Debian's screenshot service is used to fetch screenshots.
GNOME Flavor
The GNOME flavor comes with an up-to-date GNOME 3.14. For the new stuff in GNOME 3.14 check ot the promotional video:
In Tanglu, we ship with GNOME-Software and offline-updates by default, to make handling of package updates easier. The data which is used to display applications is still not completely mature, but GNOME-Software is usable already.
Tanglu Core
One popular request was to get a minimal Tanglu flavor, to use without GUI. To address this, we publish Tanglu 2 as an additional "Tanglu Core" flavor, which contains the basic things you expect in an operating system, but not more (no preinstalled GUI, no mailserver etc.). Tanglu Core can be used as server OS, if the short time a Tanglu release is supported is no problem (if you want long support periods, Debian is you choice).
