Mageia 4 Beta 1 發布

Mageia是Mandriva Linux于2010年9月形成的分支，它由那份來自法國的頗受歡迎的Linux發行的前雇員及貢獻者們創建。與Mandriva這份商業實體所不同的是，Mageia計劃乃是一個社區項目及一個非盈利性組織，它的目標是開發一套自由的基于Linux的操作系統。

Anne Nicolas has announced the availability of the first beta release of Mageia 4:

" Finally we did it! Mageia 4 beta 1 has been, for sure, the most difficult release we had to face since the beginning of the Mageia project. Lots of good and bad reasons here and again some improvements to be done on our development process. Still, the beta 1 ISO images are now available for testing and we need your feedbacks to improve Mageia 4. A lot of work has been done on various features - installer, dracut, ISO boot, desktop environments... This release also provided an occasion to rebuild all of the distribution and then check that everything is OK for the final version. We are now in freeze period which means no new versions can be submitted by packagers unless there is a good reason.</span>"
