Parsix GNU/Linux是可安裝的自啟動運行DVD，它基于Debian GNU/Linux。該項目的目標是基于Debian的測試分支及GNOME桌面環境的最新穩定版本發布，提供一份即刻可用的、易于安裝的操作系統。可以用該發行自己的軟件倉庫安裝額外的軟件包。

Alan Baghumian has announced the availability of the first test build of Parsix GNU/Linux 5.0, a release with a Debian "Wheezy" base but featuring the latest GNOME desktop (version 3.8): " Parsix GNU/Linux 5.0 (code name 'Lombardo') brings lots of updated packages, improved installer system, systemd init system and other quality new features. This version has been synchronized with Debian 'Wheezy' repositories as of May 23, 2013. Parsix Lombardo ships with GNOME 3.8 and LibreOffice productivity suit by default. Highlights: GNOME 3.8.2, X.Org 7.7, GRUB 2, GNU Iceweasel 21.0, GParted 0.12.1, Empathy 3.7.92, LibreOffice 3.5.4, VirtualBox 4.1.18 and a brand new kernel based on Linux 3.8.13 with TuxOnIce 3.3, BFS and other extra patches.
